M-Cubed Information Systems Incorporated (M-Cubed), a 24 year old Management and Technology consulting company supporting complex systems integration needs to Federal Clients, has been successfully appraised at Maturity Level 2 of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). The independent appraisal team was led by Allen Bennett, Lead Appraiser from Adnet, Inc. of McLean VA. Developed by Carnegie Mellon University of Pittsburg PA, CMMI, is an international standard for measuring the capability of an organization to effectively develop software by utilizing repeatable, proven processes that reflect industry best practices. Due to the concerted efforts of its software development team, M-Cubed successfully achieved the maturity level 2 rating.
"This internationally known prestigious rating recognizes the high level of customer and internal communications, teamwork, and organizational ability that are hallmark of M-Cubed’s software development and systems integration processes" said M-Cubed President and CEO Neil Jones. M-Cubed increasingly uses mature systems and software engineering processes to leverage domain expertise and best practices, reduce defects, improve productivity, and enhance overall competitiveness. We are continuously improving in order to maintain our status as a premiere developer and integrator of large complex systems and software intensive systems for our government and commercial customers. This achievement reflects the high maturity level of our development processes and, in particular, our ability to systematically refine our processes and the products we produce."
CMMI was developed by a coalition of industry, government and the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) to objectively appraise the full range of an organization's engineering capabilities. This is a major milestone within M-Cubed’s process improvement initiative to achieve world-class capability in systems, software, and program management. Significant productivity improvements have and will continue to be realized throughout the company as a result of this initiative.
