GFRS is an Oracle-based Internet application designed to collect the Federal Program Agency’s (FPAs) closing package information. The closing package is a set of special purpose financial statements that represents the FPAs’ comparative, audited consolidated, department-level financial statements. This package is used to prepare the Financial Report of the United States (FR). The primary purpose of this process is to present a comprehensive report on the Government’s financial position as well as defining a mechanism to assist with resolving material deficiencies identified by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). M-Cubed has been providing maintenance support for this application since 2009.
GFRS operates on a uniquely-configured Oracle 11g application server and uses all relevant components of the AIX UNIX-based platform, including Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle Discoverer services for successful operation. The application utilizes an Oracle 11g database and uses accompanying Physical/Logical Standby database via Dataguard, Oracle Transparent Gateways, and Oracle ODBC Driver.
